What Moms are saying about Blue Ullu

I am so impressed by the quality of the romper. My baby girl has worn it a ton and received lots of compliments on it. My favorite thing about it is how soft it is! She wore it a lot in the winter with colored tights and has been wearing it in spring by itself. We love it!

From the Founder

In 2006 I travelled to India as an international volunteer doing service for a rehabilitation center as an assistant yoga teacher. After only two months of local service and cultural immersion, I already knew that I wanted to work with women from the local community through textile products.

After 6 years of language and cultural learning in India, I decided to take my idea to fruition. When my daughter was born, our village neighbors gifted us a hand knit sweater and almost instantly the idea of Blue Ullu sprouted.

Slowly and surely, I gathered a few women and began knitting in our house in the afternoons. After a year of creating products, learning how to work together and creating a women centric workshop, Blue Ullu was launched at the prestigious Play Time New York Trade Show.

Blue Ullu is now in 7 boutiques across the country including Pink Chicken on Madison Avenue in New York and Chateau Sonoma in California’s wine country.
